A Railroad Day- An outing to Two Rail Preservation Sites in Pennsylvania Join Museum members for a trip to the East Broad Top Railroad and the Rockhill Trolley Museum, near Orbisonia, Pennsylvania. Two chartered buses will carry us to the site and tickets for the Steam Train and Trolley rides are included. We will depart Hagerstown at 8:30 A.M., from the Park and Ride lot near the MVA offices on Col. Douglas Dr., off the Sharpsburg Pike (MD 65), South of Hagerstown. We arrive at 10:30, in time for the 11:00 A.M. steam train ride. After lunch, visitors may ride the trolley or interurban cars nearby. Tours of the restored shops of the East Broad Top are also available at additional cost. Hagerstown return will be by 6:00 P.M. A lunch catered by Miller’s Restaurant will be available for purchase at the East Broad Top facility. The price will be $10.00, including tip. Participants may also bring their lunch and utilize picnic facilities near the railroads. Please indicate your luncheon plans when you purchase your tickets so we may inform the caterer. Tickets for the train and trolley rides are included in that price. The catered lunch and shop tours are at additional cost. Purchase of tickets includes a free admission to the Museum. The Trains of Christmas Show
Excursion Trains Orbisonia, PA to ride on the East Broad Top narrow gauge railroad and the Rockhill Trolleys. A wonderful day with a lot of variety.
We are planning for a late June trip. Cass Railroad for a ride behind Western Maryland #6, the only WM steam locomotive in operation. Very scenic and wild country. The October 2008 trip to Cass, WV will be exceptional.

2009 Hagerstown Roundhouse Museum Railroad Heritage Days
There will be Thomas the Tank trackless train rides, and trolley rides from the museum to Locomotive #202 in City Park and back. In addition, there will be railroad songs and stories.

The Trains of Christmas Show features an "O" Scale 3-Rail Christmas layout with steam and diesel trains by Lionel, MTH, Williams, Weaver, and other operating in snow scene on four levels. The smoke and sounds of the steam and diesel locomotives fill the air with railroading past and present. Our "O" and "HO" trains will also be in operation. Railroad artiffacts, photos, trains for kids to run, and a gift shop too.
Featuring displays of Historic Railroad Equipment, Law Enforcement, Military, and local fire & rescue equipment. Also, the Trains of Christmas, "HO" & "O" scale model railroads, trains for kids to run and ride, food sales and much more!
